Wiggle Path Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how the Wiggle Path game for Android (“the app”) handles information. It is published on Google Play by the developer named on the app’s store listing (“we”, “us”).
In short
- We do not collect any personal information, and the app has no accounts.
- Your level progress and retry count are stored only on your device.
- The app includes Google AdMob, which plays a video ad when you choose to watch one. Google may collect device information, such as your advertising ID, IP address and app usage data, to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent form. In US states with privacy laws, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect, store or receive personal information. The app has no sign-up or login, and it does not send your progress or any other information to us. We do not run a server that receives data from the app.
2. Information stored on your device
The app saves two things in its own storage on your device: which levels you have unlocked, and how many retries you have left. This information never leaves your device. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear the app’s storage in Android settings.
The game can be played offline. The app uses an internet connection only to load ads and Google’s consent form.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app contains rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. An ad plays only when you choose to watch one to refill your retries.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK is part of the app. According to Google, it automatically collects the following information and shares it with Google:
- Device identifiers: the Android advertising ID, the app set ID and, if applicable, other identifiers related to signed-in accounts on the device.
- IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of your device.
- App interactions, such as app launches, taps and video views.
- Diagnostic information, such as app launch time, hang rate and energy usage.
Google uses this information for advertising (showing and measuring ads and, where you allow it, personalizing them), for analytics and for fraud prevention. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit. It goes from your device to Google; we do not receive it. In AdMob we only see aggregated reports, such as how many ads were shown, which do not identify you.
To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Your consent and privacy choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows Google’s consent form (Google’s User Messaging Platform) when consent is required. The form explains how your data is used for ads and lets you accept or decline. Your choice is stored on your device. To decide whether the form applies to you, Google may use information such as your IP address. If you decline, Google may still show ads that are not personalized, or limited ads, which use less data.
If you live in a US state whose privacy law gives you the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising, you can choose “Don’t sell or share my data” in the app’s ad privacy settings.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Ad privacy settings” option in the app. Tap “Privacy” on the main menu to find it. It also appears on the screen that offers a video ad when you run out of retries.
5. Your advertising choices on Android
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings. On most Android devices, open Settings, tap Google, then All services, then Ads (under “Privacy & security”). There you can reset or delete your advertising ID. Menu names can differ between devices and Android versions; on some devices the option is under Settings > Privacy > Ads.
After you delete your advertising ID, apps receive a string of zeros instead of an ID, so it can no longer be used to personalize ads. The same Ads menu also has “Ads privacy” settings for ad topics, app-suggested ads and ad measurement.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you have a concern about a child’s use of the app, please contact us.
7. Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app deletes your progress and retry count from your device. Clearing the app’s storage in Android settings does the same. We hold no other data about you. For information collected by Google, see the Google Privacy Policy linked above; you can also reset or delete your advertising ID as described in section 5.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
